RetaliationCheck

Privacy Policy

At Retaliation Check, we take data privacy and regulatory compliance extremely seriously. This policy details how we process employee wording drafts, account credentials, and billing data when you interact with our platform.

1. Text Processing and Saved Review Records

The primary purpose of Retaliation Check is to audit manager-to-employee communications for FMLA, ADA, and EEOC wording risks.

Important AI Safety Guarantee: Text drafts may be saved in your account history so the product can provide review records, exports, feedback, and audit trails. They are transmitted securely via HTTPS to our AI provider and are not used by us to train public AI models.

To ensure total confidentiality, we strongly recommend that you remove direct employee names, specific personal medical details, or exact street addresses before clicking the analyze button.

2. Data We Collect & Process

We collect data necessary to provide a stable, authenticated, and secure SaaS platform:

  • Account Details: When you register or sign in, we process your credentials and email address securely via our authentication partner, Clerk.
  • Billing Details: If you upgrade to a paid tier (Pro, Consultant, or SMB), all card information and billing transactions are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store credit card details.
  • Audit History: Analyses may include original wording, sanitized wording, output JSON, risk level, rewrite, review status, and feedback. You can delete these records from your dashboard.
  • Feedback & Contact Forms: If you submit feedback, custom rating reviews, or contact form inquiries, we store that content to resolve issues and respond to requests.

3. Compliance with GDPR & CCPA Rights

Depending on your region, you have specific rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can request that we delete all your historical scans and account profiles.
  • Right of Access & Portability: You can download or request an export of your saved dashboard database entries.
  • Opt-out Choices: We do not sell your personal data or target advertising campaigns based on employee drafts submitted for auditing.

4. Cookies & Persistent Tokens

We use essential cookies to maintain secure sessions, verify anti-abuse limits, and enable secure Clerk and Stripe integrations. Non-essential tracking cookies are not deployed on our services. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.

5. Contact Our Privacy Officer

If you have questions about this privacy statement or wish to request data deletions, please submit a ticket via our Contact Page or send a message directly from the Data Request page.
